Cay Writers Writing Workshop - Creating Settings
Setting is an integral part of any narrative. In this workshop, attendees will look at various settings from Macro to Micro and discuss what it means to establish a memorable setting to help carry the narrative in any literary medium.

LibraTech Course Offerings
Libratech is an online computer training course, where students can study from home or use a computer at their local library. The courses vary in length from 2 hours to 8 hours. The aim of this training is to accommodate students from absolute beginners to advanced levels in common software such as Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and much more. Reading Fair Competition
A reading fair provides students the opportunity to share their favorite book through a storyboard display. The fair is set up similarly to a science fair and students may dress up like a character from their story when presenting.
World Read Aloud Days
Take part in the life Read-Aloud-Athon! Visit us at the children’s play area at the Cayman Islands 47th Annual Agricultural Show Agricultural Pavilion, Lower Valley 5th March, from 8am onwards.
World Literacy Day 2013
The Public Library in George Town will celebrate World Literacy Day with a book and art fair, and book readings from 10.00 a.m. until 2.00 p.m. Members of the public are invited to come out with their families.
Play, Read, Learn!
Play, Read Learn! is a library-based programme focusing on children between the ages of three and five years and their parents/caregivers. The programme runs for the duration of the school year beginning in September and ending in June.
The "Cayman Reads" programme, a first of its kind in the Cayman Islands. This programme will provide monthly book recommendations for children and teenagers through the end of the year, courtesy of the Cayman Islands Public Library Service and Ministry of Education.
